Chinese Car Trim Names in English: Keep a Two-Language Order Record

Leapmotor B01 manufacturer model-family reference
Manufacturer model-family reference; allocated stock, exact grade and equipment must be verified separately.

Translated trim labels can be useful for buyers but ambiguous for allocation. Keep the original factory designation beside the English name throughout a China car order.

A comfort label is not a universal equipment level

Yuexiang, Zhixiang and Zunxiang are readable transliterations, but their meanings do not establish the same equipment across manufacturers or families. Even Max and Ultra appear on several distinct vehicles. Record make, model, energy system, range designation and complete original column name. Do not identify a car with an English comfort label alone.

Keep numbers and qualifiers inside the translated name

A range number, LiDAR wording, seat count or EM-i/EM-P qualifier can distinguish the actual factory configuration. Omitting it may leave two different columns with the same simplified English title. Preserve those fields even when the title becomes longer. Use an attached specification record for the detailed options instead of compressing the whole purchase into a short translated badge.

Reconcile allocation using both names

Ask the supplier to mark the original table column and show how it maps to the quoted English description. When the VIN is allocated, compare its factory record and selected options with that marked specification. If a replacement is proposed, retain the old and new names with a clear change explanation. This makes a translation difference distinguishable from a real equipment substitution.

Use the shortlist without losing the configuration

The table deliberately names complete versions. A shared range number, badge or photograph does not establish matching cabin equipment. For each shortlisted car, request the full factory designation, production record and selected options. Mark essential features as standard, optional or unresolved. Keep translated names alongside the original factory wording so the inspector and supplier can identify the same column.

Manufacturer range, charging and output figures retain their stated test basis; they are not guaranteed road results. Combined EREV or PHEV range includes fuel, while electric-only range does not. Engine and motor peaks should not be added to invent a system rating. A model-family image does not establish available stock, exact trim or delivered software functions.

Related buying checks

To turn this comparison into an acceptance record, use the customs clearance and vehicle approval checklist. Have the destination assess the actual vehicle specification and approval route separately from customs release before scheduling road use.

Turn the decision into a sourcing enquiry

Send the selected version, quantity, preferred exterior and interior colours, destination country and port. Request an itemized offer identifying the allocation basis, chosen equipment, inspection scope and shipment scope. When a VIN is allocated, reconcile its vehicle record with the accepted specification and record any proposed change before shipment. Destination eligibility and local service arrangements must be assessed for the actual car, not inferred from a China brochure. Request a configuration-matched quotation.
