The 2025 Tesla Model Y refines its predecessor with improved range, upgraded safety, and even more advanced tech. With two configurations—rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive Long Range—it balances performance with efficiency. The RWD variant is powered by a 62.5 kWh LFP battery, while the Long Range AWD comes equipped with a 78.4 kWh ternary lithium battery from LG. Both deliver excellent range on a single charge, up to 719 km CLTC for the AWD.
Internally, the 2025 Model Y comes with a larger 15.4-inch touchscreen, an AMD Ryzen smart chip, and Tesla's latest in-car OS. Safety and autonomy features are powered by Tesla AI 4 chips, supporting L2-level Autopilot across city and highway driving. It also features improved cabin insulation, 16-speaker audio (AWD), heated and ventilated seats, and wireless phone charging. With a drag coefficient of just 0.22 and a modern design, the Model Y remains a standout in the electric SUV segment.
