Galaxy Xingyao 8 130 EM-i vs EM-P: Same Battery Reference, Different Motor

Galaxy Xingyao 8 130 EM-i vs EM-P: Same Battery Reference, Different Motor

Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 manufacturer model-family reference
Manufacturer model-family reference; allocated stock, exact grade and equipment must be verified separately.

Xingyao 8 130 configurations include both EM-i and EM-P powertrain designations. Their shared electric-range and battery references do not make the grades interchangeable.

The matching battery number hides a motor difference

Both selected 130 groups cite 18.4 kWh and a 130 km CLTC electric-only reference. The EM-i columns cite 175 kW motor output; the EM-P columns cite 160 kW. Keep those rows attached to the correct designation rather than assuming EM-P always means the larger motor figure. Manufacturer system output, where supplied, is a separate field.

Compare equipment within the correct energy designation

EM-i has Zunxiang, Zungui and Qijian columns in this group; EM-P has Tansuo and Xingjian. These are not direct translations of equivalent packages. Mark seat, wheel, parking and assistance requirements individually. Request the complete offered factory column and option notes rather than a cropped brochure that only shows the common range and battery.

Do not substitute the 225 range group silently

The wider Xingyao 8 family also has longer-range configurations covered in a separate matrix comparison. An offer changing from 130 to 225 needs its own battery and equipment record. Conversely, a 130 substitute is not an equivalent long-range allocation. Keep EM-i or EM-P, range designation and trim together from enquiry to the VIN-linked acceptance record.

Use the shortlist without losing the configuration

The table deliberately names complete versions. A shared range number, badge or photograph does not establish matching cabin equipment. For each shortlisted car, request the full factory designation, production record and selected options. Mark essential features as standard, optional or unresolved. Keep translated names alongside the original factory wording so the inspector and supplier can identify the same column.

Manufacturer range, charging and output figures retain their stated test basis; they are not guaranteed road results. Combined EREV or PHEV range includes fuel, while electric-only range does not. Engine and motor peaks should not be added to invent a system rating. A model-family image does not establish available stock, exact trim or delivered software functions.

Related buying checks

To turn this comparison into an acceptance record, use the charging acceptance checklist for a China-market EV. Use the installed ports, electrical limits and a demonstration with the intended equipment to turn a charging assumption into an acceptance record.

Turn the decision into a sourcing enquiry

Send the selected version, quantity, preferred exterior and interior colours, destination country and port. Request an itemized offer identifying the allocation basis, chosen equipment, inspection scope and shipment scope. When a VIN is allocated, reconcile its vehicle record with the accepted specification and record any proposed change before shipment. Destination eligibility and local service arrangements must be assessed for the actual car, not inferred from a China brochure. Request a configuration-matched quotation.
