Leapmotor D99 700 BEV vs 480 EREV: Seven-Seat MPV Buyer Guide

Leapmotor D99 manufacturer model-family reference
Manufacturer model-family reference; allocated stock, exact grade and equipment must be verified separately.

The D99 manufacturer table lists seven-seat BEV and EREV groups with different battery and motor references. Keep the full grade and energy system in the enquiry.

Named configurations used in this guide

The battery and propulsion references distinguish the groups

D99 700 BEV cites 115 kWh and 410 kW dual-motor AWD. The 480 EREV cites 80.3 kWh and 300 kW dual-motor AWD. Its 1,160 km combined CLTC reference includes fuel and battery; it must not replace the 480 km electric-only reference. Similar styling does not make these propulsion specifications interchangeable.

Check grade-specific height and passenger equipment

The source distinguishes a 1,900 mm base-grade height from 1,880 mm higher-grade references. Treat these as published dimensions requiring confirmation for the selected equipment, not universal clearance guarantees. Verify the installed wheels, suspension and any height-changing arrangement. For passenger use, mark the seat, climate and door features that the selected grade must include.

Make charging and engine support separate order checks

Both groups publish a 15-minute 30–80% DC reference under manufacturer conditions, but they add energy to different batteries. Do not rank them by minutes alone. Confirm the allocated vehicle’s charging inlets and capability. For EREV, document the engine-service and fuel requirements as well; the presence of a large battery does not remove those ownership needs.

Use the shortlist without losing the configuration

The table deliberately names complete versions. A shared range number, badge or photograph does not establish matching cabin equipment. For each shortlisted car, request the full factory designation, production record and selected options. Mark essential features as standard, optional or unresolved. Keep translated names alongside the original factory wording so the inspector and supplier can identify the same column.

Manufacturer range, charging and output figures retain their stated test basis; they are not guaranteed road results. Combined EREV or PHEV range includes fuel, while electric-only range does not. Engine and motor peaks should not be added to invent a system rating. A model-family image does not establish available stock, exact trim or delivered software functions.

Related buying checks

To turn this comparison into an acceptance record, use the charging acceptance checklist for a China-market EV. Use the installed ports, electrical limits and a demonstration with the intended equipment to turn a charging assumption into an acceptance record.

Turn the decision into a sourcing enquiry

Send the selected version, quantity, preferred exterior and interior colours, destination country and port. Request an itemized offer identifying the allocation basis, chosen equipment, inspection scope and shipment scope. When a VIN is allocated, reconcile its vehicle record with the accepted specification and record any proposed change before shipment. Destination eligibility and local service arrangements must be assessed for the actual car, not inferred from a China brochure. Request a configuration-matched quotation.
