EV Battery Capacity Labels: Usable kWh and Manufacturer Measurement References

Battery tables do not always use the same capacity label. Preserve usable-capacity wording and manufacturer measurement notes when comparing China vehicle specifications.
Read the label before comparing the number
The L380 table explicitly identifies usable battery capacity. Other tables in this batch use capacity values with manufacturer measurement notes, including 1/3C or 1C references. Record the original meaning alongside the number. Do not relabel a published capacity as usable, gross or guaranteed delivered energy unless the source actually identifies that basis.
Create separate fields for separate evidence
A comparison sheet can retain published capacity, its measurement qualification, chemistry, exact grade and source date. Leave an unknown gross or usable field blank instead of inferring it from a nearby figure. A matching number across two brochures is not proof of identical packs, usable energy or charging behaviour. Vehicle documentation is needed to identify the installed pack.
Keep range and battery capacity independent
Different body, wheels, drive and equipment can produce different range references around similar batteries. Capacity alone is not a road-range forecast. Compare the matching cycle and configuration, then consider your own recurring route and charging arrangement. There is no sound universal conversion from a brochure kWh figure to the distance every driver will achieve.
Verify allocation without inventing a capacity test
Ask for the installed battery record and relevant vehicle documents, with photographs linking them to the allocated VIN where available. A charge-session energy receipt measures that session, not automatically the full pack’s usable capacity. If a capacity assessment is part of acceptance, agree a competent test method and its limits beforehand rather than presenting a short charging video as proof.
Turn the comparison into an order
Start with the complete factory designation, then record the battery, drive, seat layout and equipment you require. Ask for an itemized quotation with the vehicle allocation basis, selected options, inspection and shipment scope. A family image illustrates the model; it does not show available stock or prove the exact trim. When a VIN is allocated, compare its vehicle record and inspection findings with the accepted specification.
Compare L380 100 kWh usable reference; L380 140 kWh usable reference; A7 EV manufacturer battery reference. Send an enquiry with your destination country and port, quantity and preferred colours. Agree the inspection scope before shipment.
